- Write the desired message as your Signature in the text field.

Important Points to remember
- The ideal signature is about the length of five lines of text.
- Remember that you don’t have to insert the signature separator manually. There is an automatic feature in Gmail that adds a signature separator.
- You can use the formatting bar to add image and make your Gmail signatures more attractive.
- In case you are not able to see the formatting bar then you should start a new message using the rich text formatting.
- You can always edit or remove Gmail signature whenever you want.
How to move Your Gmail Signature above Quoted Text in Replies?
To make your replies more professional, it is better to have your Gmail signature right below your message and above previous replies. Follow the steps given below in order to do so.
- Click on settings gear icon from the top right corner of Gmail.
- Select settings from the dropdown menu.
- Open General tab.
- Now, scroll down to find signature option. Here, you will find a check box with the name “Insert this signature before quoted text in replies and remove the “–” line that precedes it”. Tick it check box.
- Add the signature separator manually.
- Finally, click on save changes.
How to add Gmail signature on Mobile (Android)?
You can create or add a Gmail signature on your Android phone using the Gmail App.
- From your Android Home screen, open Gmail App.
- Tap on the menu button (Three horizontal bars stacked over each other) from the top left corner.
- Scroll down and tap settings from the bottom of the page.
- Select the Google account in which you want to add a signature.
- Tap on Signature.
- Enter the text message you want to set as your signature.
- Finally, tap on Ok.
Now, your signature will start to show up right below your messages on Gmail.
