  1. Click on settings gear icon from the top right corner of Gmail.
  2. Select settings from the dropdown menu.
  3. Open General tab.
  4. Now, scroll down to find signature option. Here, you will find a check box with the name “Insert this signature before quoted text in replies and remove the “–” line that precedes it”. Tick it check box.
  5. Add the signature separator manually.

You can create or add a Gmail signature on your Android phone using the Gmail App.

  1. From your Android Home screen, open Gmail App.
